Heliades
Mythology

Heliades Mythology According to Greek mythology, Heliades were nymphs, daughters of the Sun God and the nymph Neira. Lampetia, along with her sister Phaethousa, lived in Thrinakia (probably present-day Sicily or Malta) and looked after their father's livestock.

Lampetia was responsible for 7 flocks of 50 sheep and guarded them using a silver vase, while Phaethousa used a bronze spear to protect 7 herds of 50 cattle. Therefore, they were considered as the protectors of immortal sheep and cattle. There are also reports of the nymphs in the Greek epic poem Odyssey of Homer.
